Citizen Science: Invasive Snails
Did you know that invasive species can quietly transform our local lakes, ponds, and rivers? One such invader, the Chinese Mystery Snail, has spread throughout Indiana and the Midwest, where it can compete with native species and disrupt freshwater ecosystems.
Join us for a two-part community conservation event to learn how to identify the Chinese Mystery Snail and discover how you can become a citizen scientist helping protect our local waterways.
This program is free to attend. The educational workshop at the zoo is included with zoo membership or paid admission, and participation in the community conservation event is free. Registration is encouraged so we can easily communicate important event updates and details.
