In partnership with United Federal Credit Union, the Potawatomi Zoo’s annual free-admission Children’s Day will take place June 10, 2026, 10 am to 7 pm.
From 10 am until the Zoo’s last admission at 6 pm, admission to the Zoo will be free for children ages 14 and under. Children 14 and under must be accompanied to Children’s Day by a responsible adult.
“Children’s Day at the Zoo is an opportunity for even more kids to experience the Zoo, learn about conservation, and see wild animals, sometimes for the very first time,” says Josh Sisk, executive director of the Potawatomi Zoo. “We’re so honored to partner with United Federal Credit Union, who truly understands and shares our passion for community outreach.”
Zoo Keeper Chats will be available at 11:30 by the southern ground hornbills and 2:30 inside the Learning Center by the red-tailed boa.
All regular attractions, concessions, and the gift shop will be open during Children’s Day.
Big Perm from U93 will be live at the Zoo in the morning to meet kids.
During Children’s Day, United Federal Credit Union will be giving away bags to children at the event while supplies last and will contribute $5 to every new Youth Savings Account that is opened at one of their locations, when a coupon is presented from the event.

Attractions, stroller rentals, the gift shop, and concessions are not part of admission. Free admission doesn’t extend to group tours or field trips.
Overflow parking is available at Kids Kingdom and John Adams High School.
