Description: White-necked ravens are named for the white patch of feathers on the nape of their necks. They have a shorter tail than the common raven. White-necked ravens have a unique vocalization that’s huskier than the common raven, and like many corvids, they’re capable of mimicry.

White-necked ravens are native to eastern and southern Africa. Although smaller than the common raven, it’s the largest of the African corvid species.
